Title: New Visitor - I need some info!
Post by: BjornA on August 16, 2009, 08:49:57 AM
My wife and I are coming up Tuesday for her folks 50th. i just found out about the trail and would like to take some day hikes and maybe an overnighter. We are staying in Durham, so I need to get a trail map/guide and directions from Durham to the nearest trail access. can anyone assist?

Thanks,

Bjorn

You don't say what direction you are coming from, but if you are passing through Guelph just go to The Bookshelf on Quebec Street in the downtown to buy a guidebook. Also, there is another bookstore in Fergus that stocks them.

A nice access to a nice hike is off Milton 5th or 6th Line heading east, or north off Niska Road just west of Guelph.  There are no campsites for overnighters, though.
