Hiking in Musquodoboit,Nova Scotia (June 2011)
« on: July 16, 2011, 08:09:20 PM »
While visiting our son, Chris in Halifax;he led us on a picturesque & challenging hike in the Musquodoboit area. We started out walking on the Musquodoboit Trail which is a converted rail bed.
After approx 2.5 km, we took a path to the right, indicating directions to reach the "Admiral Lake Loop"(9km). We climbed steeply through mossy woods to a big boulder perched percariously on its top "Rolling Stone Lookoff" which offered a 180 degree panoramic view over the White Lake Wilderness area & island studded Admiral Lake. Other lookout points also offered spectacular views.
