The first day we hiked the Blue Mountain section of the Bruce Trail (mile 48.3 to 55.3) & the John Haigh Sidetrail (loop 7.4km). The trail climbs to the highest point on the Bruce Trail through mature forest. Beautiful lookouts along the trail.

The second day we hiked the Beaver Valley section of the Bruce Trail from Eugenia Falls to Hogg's Falls and returned via the Upper Hogg's Side Trail (total 14km). Two beautiful falls!! Eugenia Falls plunges 30 metres into a forested gorge below. The falls once supported five mills and was the site of Ontario's second hydro electric plant. Hogg's Falls is only 7 metres high, but the volume of water from the Boyne River pouring over these falls against a backdrop of lush greenery, creates a breathing taking scene.
