Radial Line Trail
« on: August 10, 2009, 11:42:55 AM »
I hiked the from my place (on University Property) the entrie Radial Line Trail to Limehouse then down the Bruce Trail to Speyside, a total of 43km.  The trail was pretty nice other then way too many road sections, hopefully new wooded sections can replace the current road sections in the future.  Also the final wooded section right before the final road stretch before Limehouse was too wet to pass through having no backup shoes with me.  Is this part of the trail often to wet to get past?  Does this club ever plan of have long day hikes ( 25 plus kms)  of an entire trail one way or round trip?

Hi.  Assuming you mean section 8 starting at Glen Lawson sideroad and crossing the 4th line, before going in to the quarry, (the forested section), it is wet in the spring and after a heavy rain, as on the 9th of August.  We do have longer hikes - check the newsletter and links to other clubs.  Mike Curtis, Pres.
