What To Bring

Joining us for a guided a hike? Here's what we suggest you bring:

  • water
  • snacks (and lunch if it's a long hike)
  • personal identification and health card
  • whistle and cell phone to call for help in an emergency
  • medications as appropriate (eg. asthma inhaler, epi pen, diabetes medication)
  • bandaids or moleskins or blister kits
  • kleenex / toilet paper
  • layers of clothing suitable for the weather
  • gloves
  • hat
  • sunglasses
  • plastic poncho or rain gear
  • plastic bags to protect the car interior from muddy boots
  • sun screen
  • insect protection in spring and summer months
  • a hiking stick if you prefer
  • icers as needed in the winter and early spring
  • spare shoelaces / pair of socks
  • good walking/hiking shoes or boots
