GVTA Trails, Carolinian Crest Section Loop Hike

From the trail head we will hike south mainly on GVTA trails along the Grand River, to make a 12.5 KM loop back to the trail head.  From the pedestrian bridge on the SC Johnson Trail which connects Paris with Brantford, we may spot a Heron or two.  Scenic river views while walking a quiet winding trail through Carolinian forests.

Meet the leader in the south parking lot of the Guelph YMCA, 130 Woodland Glen Drive, Guelph, for an 8:45 A.M. carpool departure - please arrive at least 10 minutes early.  Arrive at the trail head for an approximately 9:30 A.M. start.  Bring water and snacks, bug spray.  No dogs please.  Option for lunch at The Cobblestone Pub in Paris.

Trail head is at the west end of Powerline Rd., south of Paris, east side of the Grand River.  Park in the large, free parking lot there. Trail head map: https://goo.gl/cqMiDj
