Photo Hike – Yorklands Photo Hike

 Only GHTC Members  will be able to register for this hike until a couple of days prior to event. Hike will then be opened up to non-members if there are still vacant spots. Before you can register for hike you must read covid-19 screening questions and be able to answer NO to all of them. You will be asked questions again before hike and not be able to join if at that time you answer yes to any of them.

Masks must be worn at start of hike. A distance of 2 metres must be kept between non related hikers and masks MUST be worn where this is not possible.

If you are registered and can't make it please delete your registration or email leader to let them know.

 Only a maximum of 10 registered hikers will be accepted.

Meet at the main entrance to the OR property at 905 York Rd. for a 2:30 PM departure. Note that there is a bus stop adjacent to this spot. If driving note that parking is prohibited in the vicinity of the entrance. You can park along the side of York Road where you can see the ponds. (Look for the signs indicating Parking vs No Parking.)

We will explore the Yorklands property looking for interesting ice formations on the small waterfalls and the surface of the stream and ponds, as well as lots of interesting stone formations, dried plants, landscapes, etc. Bring a camera that you are comfortable using. We will take the time to enjoy the area and find some great pictures.

NB – Be sure to  DRESS WARMLY so that you can enjoy the afternoon.
