RLT Section 7 and 8 with a walk through Limehouse

Meeting Location: Covered Bridge in Guelph at 9:00, 9:30 Parking spot on Dubin Line (start of section 7)

Level 2, Total distance 15 kms, Moderate speed 4kms/hr, (3.5 - 4 hours)

Carpooling and Shuttle to be arranged at meeting locations. 

RLT section 7  Distance: 4.24 km

Some road walking required.
Follow the path along a fenceline to the end of the field. The trail now winds uphill and down, through a fine hardwood bush until you come to the abandoned rail bed. 

RLT section 8. Distance: 5 km

We will walk beside a small creek before emerging into a deep river valley flanked by huge deciduous trees and up the valley until the trail goes up a steep hill and emerges on 4th Line. We will finish section 8 with a road hike of 3 kms to get to Limehouse. 

At Limehouse, we will see old lime kilns and the famous hole in the wall. At limehouse, our RLT meets the Bruce Trail. Limehouse conservation area is run by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority. 

Please pack a Lunch/Snacks/water, hiking boots are required, optional: hiking poles. Please dress for the weather to make it a pleasant adventure.
