This is a beautiful in-and-out route, through forests, wetlands, ponds and deep moss covered fissures. We are offering two routes which both take you to the Dufferin Gap – the only break in the entire 725k long, 450-million-year-old Niagara Escarpment. This 40m-long gap is now spanned by a bridge. The Bridge that was built in 1991 was funded by a combination of corporate, private and public funds. (Nicola Ross, Loops & Lattes). There is an incredible view of Milton on the ridgetop trail and we might even see soaring bald eagles!
Bring water, snacks and/or lunch, sunscreen, hat, bug repellent. No dogs please. Hiking poles recommended.
LUNCH - opportunity for a post hike lunch at the Red Harp Pub in Action!
