Canada Day Hike to Riverside Park for fireworks display

Meet and check in at 7:50pm for 8:00pm hike departure from Guelph Lake Trailhead on the east side of the crosswalk on Victoria St. N. just south of the Speed River.

Canada Day Celebrations have returned to Riverside Park! Hike the Guelph Lake Trail along the Speed River to the Guelph Lake dam and return to the Royal Recreation - Speed River Trail to Riverside Park for fireworks at about 10pm. Return to Victoria Rd. N. following the fireworks.

This is an easy hike approximately 9k total on a well-maintained multi-use trail with 4km/hr pace.

Roadside parking is available approximately 200 meters on both sides of Victoria Rd. N. Carpooling is encouraged.

Wear walking or hiking shoes; bring water, bug spray,  compact camping chair and flashlight or headlamp for return to Victoria Rd after dark; blanket or poles are optional.

No dogs please.
