Halton Regional Forest to Pear Tree Park Hike

Meet at the Speyside Pear Tree Park & Bruce Trail parking lot, 7808 15 Side Rd., Acton (about 200 metres west of Regional Rd. 25) https://w3w.co/sofas.audition.procures This is an end-to-end hike. We will carpool to the Halton Regional Forest parking lot, 10200 Sixth Line Nassagaweya, Milton https://w3w.co/wakes.songbird.midnight and hike back.
Time:9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Length:Approx. 10 km - Level 2+
Pace:Experienced hikers with a good level of fitness is required for this Moderate-Brisk pace fitness hike
Details:This interesting hike will start from the parking lot on Sixth Line at the Halton Regional Forest. We will hike back along the Hilton Falls Side Trail, Al Shaw Side Trail and the Main Bruce Trail. Our adventure will take us on the seldom used Green Trail which loops back to the Bruce Trail. This trail has some hills, rocks, uneven footing, and a couple of small creeks to cross.
What to Bring:
Wear sturdy footwear, long pants, hiking poles recommended, sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water, snacks, health card/identification. Dress for the weather, bring rain gear (just in case!)
No dogs please.
Carpool: Highly recommended due to the very limited parking at both lots.
Meet at 8:20 for an 8:30 departure from the Rockmosa Community Centre 110 Rockmosa Dr., Rockwood (park on south side of tennis courts).
