The O.R. Trail
Check in at 6:15 for hike start at 6:30pm
Hike description: Starting from the gatehouse on York Road, we will hike by the north pond, through forests, along the river up to the bridge at Stone Rd. then return back passing the south pond and get a glimpse of the Ontario Reformatory.
Trail conditions: The trails go through a forest and the trail is uneven with rocks and roots. There are a few small hills.
Pace: 4km/hr, approximately 4.5km, 1 ¼ hr
Parking: 905 York Rd., roadside parking on the south side, across from Lewis Upholstery.
Bus route – 2 stops – one on either side of the road, near the gatehouse
Required: hiking shoes, dress for the weather
Recommended: water, snack, sunscreen, bug spray
Optional: poles
No dogs please.
