Location: Roadside parking on the southeast side of 15 Sideroad
(about 300m east of Hwy. 25), Halton Hills. (43.582968, -79.971787) https://w3w.co/transport.sprouts.barn
Length & Pace: Approx. 13 km. Level 2-2+. Moderate pace. Some hilly sections and uneven terrain, with lots of roots and rocks. A bit of road walking.
Hike start time: Meet at 8:20 for an 8:30 departure from 15 SR. We will car shuttle to the starting point at Kelso Conservation Area main parking lot.
Carpool Option (preferred): Meet at 7:45 am for a 7:55 am departure from Rockmosa Community Hall, 110 Rockmosa Dr., Rockwood (park on south side of tennis courts). We will need free spots in the cars for car shuttle.

About the hike: This is a re-do of Joanna Mazur’s August 24 Day 1 of her End-to-End of the Toronto section of the Bruce Tail. Hikers who completed Day 2 &/or Day 3 and were unable to attend Day 1 are invited to join this one. New hikers are also welcome to register.
We will start our hike at the Kelso parking lot, cross the boundary between Iroquoia/Toronto sections and continue along the escarpment, enjoying great views. We will pass over the Dufferin Quarry Bridge and view the Dufferin Gap – the only break in the entire 725km long, 450-million-year-old Niagara Escarpment and finish just east of Speyside where a couple of our cars are parked.
Recommended: Sturdy hiking boots or shoes, hiking poles, 1-2L of water, snacks and/or lunch, insect repellent, sunscreen, health card/ID, small personal first aid kit. Dress for the weather. No dogs please.
