Hike name: New Year’s Eve Afternoon Hike at Guelph Lake
Check in at 2:50pm for 3pm hike start.
Hike: we will hike along the hiking trails that meander through the forest, along the lake and river, and past meadows. The trail is uneven with rocks and roots, snowy and icy sections, and there are few hills.
Pace: 4km/hr, approximately 6km, 1 ½ hr plus a short break to toast 2025 with treats!
Parking: roadside parking on both sides of Victoria Rd North – by the crosswalk lights and entrance to the Guelph Lake trails (about 1km north of Woodlawn Rd.)
Required: hiking shoes/boots, icers ready to use, I.D., dress for the weather
Recommended: water
Optional: poles, headlamp/flashlight
No dogs please.
