Winter Olympics HAFTA Hike!

Time: 9:30 AM – Approx. 12:00 -12:30 PM
Location: Trailhead – 3990 SR 10, Campbellville (4th Line Nassagaweya & 10 SR)

Roadside parking is very limited, so please consider carpooling from Guelph or Rockwood. Meet at the trailhead at 9:20 AM.
Rockwood Carpool: Meet at 8:35 AM for an 8:45 AM departure from the Rockmosa Community Centre, 110 Rockmosa Dr., Rockwood (south side of tennis courts)
Trail: 8 Km. Moderate Pace. Please consider your physical ability for this hike.
Level 2+ due to snow coverage, uneven terrain, narrow boardwalks
Winter Olympics: Show your Canadian spirit by wearing something red or identifiable as Canadian. Please remember that you ultimately need to be warm!
Details:
Our hike will be a loop in the Halton Agreement Forest Trails Association (HAFTA). This hike will take us on the Mahon Tract, which is part of a network of 14 well maintained tracts featuring diverse landscapes and sometimes challenging, multi-use mountain bike and hiking trails. You’ll discover some cool, interesting features in this awesome wooded area!
What to Bring:
Icers/Crampons are mandatory for winter hikes, water, hot drink if it’s cold out, snacks, sturdy footwear, hiking poles, I.D., Health Card.
Dress for the weather. No dogs please.
