Wednesday hike, Speed River trail section 1 and John Woods side trails

Time 9:30 - 12am

Meet 9:30 at the parking lot close the former Guelph Humane Society.  Turn left on first exit after Hanlon going going west on Wellington RD. Drive until you come to a small parking lot after a curve on the rd or meet for carpooling 9:15 behind Goodness me (close to baseball diamonds)

You have amazing views of the Speed river where some of the "early" birds are arriving. There are deep dark cedar forest and some wetlands. Some majestic old trees. 7 bridges to cross. 

Bring icers and hiking poles are useful. The conditions are changing daily. There might be wet areas.

Moderate speed, mostly easy walking about 2 1/2 hrs.
