Wednesday hike Marden Creek and Ignatius Old Growth Forest

 Meet 9:30 am at The Loyola House  parking lot.  Ignatius Jesuit Centre, 5420 Highway 6 N.  About a half km from Woodlawn Rd, turn left right  after the Marymount cemetery.   Drive to the  end of the road to Loyola House. 

We follow Marden creek, where it joins Speed, see it from lookout platform and cross it 3 times. On a later date we can follow it in Marden. We walk also along the Speed, on narrow forest paths and on several wooden board walks. See the Old Growth  Forest, the mill ruins  and piece of dam over Marden Creek. 
The spring is here but there can be icy sections, please bring icers. Poles are always useful.
Moderate speed, some difficult footing, mostly even. About 2 hrs.
