Hike description: Enjoy an early spring hike with many of the birds out or passing through and the plant buds beginning to sprout. There may also still be a large volume of water flowing down the Grand River, a great view from the Trestle Bridge.
Starting from the Beatty Line parking lot, we will hike along the Cataract Trail to Elora then walk back to take the Museum Trail to the Trestle Bridge Trail and check out a view of the Grand River. Then we will go down the stairs to Aboyne Forest and possibly the Grand River depending on the river conditions. We will hike through the Aboyne Forest then return to the parking lot via the Trestle Bridge trail.
Trail conditions: The trails are generally flat and gravel, except in the Aboyne Forest. Here there will be rocky and root sections. There will also be a few staircases to go up and down. There could still be a few wet, muddy and icy sections.
