Wednesday morning hike: Crane Park
When: 9:00 am -- 11:am, Wednesday 29 July 2026. Note earlier start time.
Where: Meet at trailhead on Dovercliffe Rd (use 158 Dovercliffe as your GPS reference). Park along roadway where parking allowed.
What: We will hike Crane Park, a piece of wilderness bordering the Speed River. This hike takes us through dense forests, fields and over streams, crossing at one point the Crane Park Community Bridge installed by GHTC as its 50th anniversary legacy project. Terrain is mainly level, a mix of dirt trails, boardwalks and pine-needle strewn forest floor. Rain expected the day before so conditions may be muddy in places.
Distance & Pace: about 5-6 km, pace moderate. Bring water, health card, bug spray. Poles your choice. Always check this site before departure in event of weather cancellation.
