Wednesday Morning Hike:  Arboretum

When:  Wednesday, 16 September, 9:30-11:30 am

Where:  University of Guelph Arboretum. 

Meet at 9:15 for a 9:30 departure.  Park in the small, unpaved parking area on left as you enter the Arboretum off College Ave E.  This parking area is BEFORE you come to the paved lots.  If space unavailable, park in paved lots farther down the road and walk back.

What:  This hike will take us through the Mtigwaaki Old Growth Forest, Gosling Garden, Wild Goose Woods, along the Memorial Trail, and into other parts of the Arboretum, including the less-visited Acorn Trail in the north section.  Terrain is mostly flat and easy walking with a few rocky, rooty sections.

Distance and pace:  around 5-6 k, moderate pace. 

Bring water, health card, bug spray.  Poles your choice.  Always check this site before departure in event of weather cancellation.
